Insect-O-Cutor Nomad LED flykiller Overview
“The Insect-O-Cutor Nomad LED flykiller offers protection against flying and biting insects with a collapsible compact design, making it perfect for traveling. When this product is fully charged it can be used for up to 18 hours (USB charging cable included).
This product can also be used as a bright 200 lumens hanging light that has adjustable brightness, making it perfect for outdoor dining, patios, gardens, and camping.
With dual green and blue UV LED technology this product will attract a wide range of flying insects.”
Checking it out
My first impression opening the Nomad Insect-O-Cutor was the size was surprisingly small. But as most women reading this will know- It’s not the size that counts, It’s how well it can be used.”
I was also amused by the lamp enclosure part being soft silicone/rubber and squeezable.
After speaking with the manufacturers about the item I did learn some more information. On lower brightness settings the Insect-O-Cutor will run longer. The bug zapper and the light both are able to function separately so it can be used as either a lamp or bug zapper independently. That said, they can also be used at the same time. However, it will run longer if only one setting is being used.
Testing the unit
I fully charged my unit and used it for an hour and a half. It still had a charge left. I just turned it off because I had finished using it and was back in a car. However, it did have some power on it when I got it out of the box.
The functionality is pretty cool. I took it with me to a tour of Birmingham Key hill Catacombs ( An enclosed mausoleum where people would have been laid to rest). The expression, “dark as the crypt” made me realise it would be the perfect opportunity to test out the lamp part of the unit. Although upon leaving the catacombs I found that the unit had caught and killed a wasp! Saving me from being stung!

Moderate cialis professional uk ED- The second phase when a man constantly loses erections about 2 weeks of intercourse, he is said to sexually weak. I was also able to clip it onto my waist bag, It being lightweight meant it didn’t pull at my belt. The Nomad Insect-O-Cuter is also quite robust as I did accidentally knock it off my belt at one point but the unit was still working!
Potential Downsides
I was a little concerned about fire safety. But after reaching out to the manufacture they said “ The plastic used to construct the Nomad has passed the relevant CE requirements for flame retardancy, that being said, should it be thrown into a bonfire, for example, it will melt.”
I would say the only downsides I see to the unit is you can’t see how much charge you have remaining on it and the silicone bottom makes me nervous to put it on a table while in use. There is a hanger at the top so if it was being hung under a gazebo, in hand, or in a tent that’s not an issue plus the silicone cover also helps with waterproofing.
My video of the product
To show you more of the Insect-O-Cutor Nomad LED Flykiller, I created a video so you can see more of this unit, including a comparison to a larger home-based similar item. This runs for just over 10 minutes below:
Final Verdict
All in all, I do quite like the product and it is definitely a useful tool for people who enjoy outdoors and are sensitive to bug bites!
As mentioned I avoided a wasp sting by simply carrying it with me.
The unit can be purchased from Robert Dyas for £44.95. Yet I found it currently on sale for £34.93!

What an innovation! I’m sure regular campers would find this really handy! Wonder if this is available in the Philippines?
If you try contact the manufacturer they might be able to help you find that out
Wow, this is cool to use! I will check its availability and if it ships to Australia 🙂
Thanks for your review!
I feel like I strongly need this for protection against flying and biting insects. I love its compact design. I will check if this is available here in our country.
Let us know if you can find it!
Wow, how amazing! No more hazardous material in the air.
Well the mask helps too!
Great and amazing product! It should be very useful traveling out and I will for sure get one of these when I am camping in Australia.
Ooohhh Aus! Im terrefied of big spiders, that would make me feel more comfortable
It is summer here now so the flies are out! I could use this in our home never mind camping.
I have set it up in my kitchen!
Oh, this could be an ideal travel buddy especially for someone who loves camping. Aside from insect repellant creams, this could be used to repel more bugs more effectively. Also i think it is better than using those insect coils
One year me and my partner brought insect repellant bracelets. I actually saw a Mosquito land on the band and bite him Was maddening
I have been looking for something just like this. Thank you so much for your review. I’m definitely going to check this out!
Definitely look into it I’d say it’s worth the money if you are going to use it a lot
Nice product! Hahaha this is one good for those who like to go camping as well as those who hate creepy flying insects!
The lamp is top notch too!
We have another device that has a similar function or purpose. This one is cool though.
Ooh What is it? I have one that works on mains plug so it’s useful for camping but great for my fruit bowl
Such a great tool – not only for an outdoorsy trip but also for my house in summer. Absolutely amazing.
Very useful for indoors, if I have my windows open on the evenings I get a lot of moths so I keep it on my windowsill
Ah! It’s good to know such a product exists. Truth be told, it’s size is smaller than that of lamps in it’s general size range.
The lamp is really good and powerful on its own. Honestly I would have brought it just for the lamp but the added bug zapper is a blessing
That’s smart to use it by carrying it to avoid wasp stings. Those are the worst ones for hurting!
I was so lucky there lol, I hadn’t even seen it till I came out and saw it was dead!
Sounds like this would be really handy for those who spend loads of time outdoors.
Useful indoors too!
the product looks pretty awesome, it’s a must-have for my mother. So very important for comfort
My own mother was quite impressed
This would be so handy for camping and just hanging outside for barbecues. I can’t stan bug bites! haha
Oh for sure This is going to be used regularly
A must-have item when you are outdoor at night time. Great also, I guess for indoors, when you have flying insects going around your lighting.
For sure I keep it on my windowsil on evenings when I have my windows open
What a great product especially for outdoorsy people like me! Easy to bring around too!
Very easy for transporting it’s very compact
Thank you for sharing your honest review. This really helped me learn more about this innovative product.
Really glad it’s been helpful
Great video and thanks for the review. I will check this out on my favorite shop. I hope it’s available there.
I hope you can get it, It’s on sale at Robert Dyas right now
Oh my gosh, I need one of these! We have a big Cub Scout campout in a few weeks and the flys are always so bad around our food when we are preparing for about 50 people at once. And it never hurts to have an extra lantern.
Oooh yes! That would be a perfect opportunity for it.
I could totally use one of these. Feels like my house is being plagued by those mini flies!
Ugh tell me about it, I had to breed fruit flys for my praying mantids to eat when they were juvenile. They are the WORST
