Last year I had the opportunity to review three great Onewind products. The 11ft hammock with mosquito netting, the hammock underquilt and blanket, and the hammock top quilt. I was impressed with the function and design of all of these products so said yes when asked to review another product. Essential oils and lotions are not always at the top of my mind when I’m packing for a camping trip but they should be because they can add to our enjoyment of our trip. Who doesn’t love a good blanket? I can not imagine many things that are as comforting as a cozy blanket on a cold evening or morning. One of my favorite things about camping is that the evenings and mornings can often be quite chilly. The only thing better than a cozy blanket is a wearable blanket that you can stay wrapped up in while doing more than holding on to the blanket so I was thrilled when I was asked to try out and review a Three Poodle wearable blanket.

We all have our ways and habits and when we are encouraged to try something new, we may not always be all in when we try it. I had to admit I had some of this resistance when I was sent the Wautton Best Hiking Fanny pack. I had just purchased a lighter backpack for our day hiking trips. Even though I really liked my backpack, I was carrying a big pack of very little stuff.

I had the joy of growing up with a camping family. So many memories of sleeping in the tent and spending all day outside. This was something that my husband and I made sure that our kids enjoyed as well.
One thing I don’t remember when I was younger was the bugs. As my kids grew, so did the size of the lumps from mosquito bites. Every night as we sit by the campfire, the mosquitoes start to change the ratio of humans to flying minibeasts.

Everything in moderation. Unless it is coffee, then I tend to get excessive. My favorite part of the camping trip is waking before everybody else, making my coffee, maybe a fire, and watching everything wake up. Since I am an earlier riser everybody else gets reheated coffee. We have tried some other products, but nothing is like camp coffee in a percolator, until I received Wildland Coffee.

Living in Minnesota in the spring is always an adventure. Over the course of a week, it is not strange to experience snow, rain, and storms, with temperatures ranging from freezing to hot. It can be hard to know how to dress each day and it’s even harder to know what to pack when traveling.
