I have never done camping in the UK before but I am so tempted to try it once. Scotland has always been on my list and we wanted to visit when we were in the UK recently but couldn’t as I was expecting and we didn’t want to strain myself. Next trip I am definitely covering Scotland! ☺️

Wow, so many lovely spots, and each is as good as the other! I’d love to camp with a view of the spectacular mountains as much as I would next to a beach. And stargazing would be so amazing in all of these places as well. Can’t wait to get to Scotland, I can’t believe I haven’t already made it there yet.

As much as I love nature, I’ve never taking to raw camping. I won’t say no to glamping with its amenities but I respect those who go out into the wild with just a tent and a burner stove to boil water for coffee. More power to ya!

We never camped when I lived in Scotland, so I’m amazed at the variety of camping sites. Funny how the East coast campsites seem to have higher ratings than the West coast ones — I’m more of a sunset person! But when you suggested that there might be northern lights visible at Horgabost, that made it rise to #1 for me!
